Worshipful Brother J. R. Cully has chronicled a history of the first 50 years of Undine Lodge on the pervious page. What follows is an account of events from his last history in 1959 on page one up until Undine's 75th anniversary which was celebrated on the 30th of November 1984 at the Loughton Masonic Hall. Members of Undine are currently compiling the last 25 years for the Centenary celebrations which will take place in November 2009.

1961 The death of RW. Bro. Rev. Canon R. Stafford Morris, the Provincial Grand Master of Essex since 1952.

1963 Goodwill Lodge (No. 7904) was consecrated as a daughter lodge of Undine. W. Bro. T. Pearce was a founder-member and its first Master. Bro. D. Hammond was also a founder and Undine members filled all the major offices prior to the consecration ceremony. Undine Lodge contribution to the annual festival for the Royal Masonic Institute for Girls exceeded its target of £ 1,000. The festival was presided over by the Provincial Grand Master, the Right Hon. Earl of Warwick.

1964 w. Bro. S. Hodges was appointed Chaplain, replacing w. Bro. A. Willesden on his retiring from office. Grand Chapter rank was conferred upon W. Bro. T. Pearce.

1965 The Initiation fee was raised to twenty-five guineas. The Lodge declined to adopt the permissive variations to the ritual, with respect to penalties within the Obligations. A recent Master of the Lodge passed away at an early age. To mark the 250th anniversary of Grand Lodge, the brethren were each invited to contribute £1.00 to a fund. The income from the total of £500,000 collected was placed at the disposal of the Royal College of Surgeons.

1966 The last surviving founder-member, W. Bro. J. R. Cully, died in June. He had become a father-figure to the brethren, having written two histories of the Lodge and served as its Treasurer for thirty years. He was appointed Grand Pursuivant in 1936.
W. Bro. Westrip, who had been Tyler for twelve years, was unable to continue in the post because of his poor health. He was replaced by W. Bro. Trippick.
W. Bro. Eric Hall was appointed Chaplain.
The brethren were asked to donate to a fund for renovating the Lodge Banner.

1967 H.R.H. the Duke of Kent was elected as M.W. Grand Master.

1968 An emergency meeting was held in May to raise Bro. Robert Hutchins, prior to his emigration to Australia. Bro. Wilf Holman offered to act as organist, since the Lodge had been without one for some time. He desired, however, that this responsibility should not impede his progress to the Master’s chair.

1969 The death of the Earl of Scarborough. He had been a Past Grand Master for eighteen years. All lodges observed a six- month period of mourning.

1970 Bro. Herbert Singleton died after a lifetime of service. He had been Secretary of the lodge and lodge of instruction for over twenty years. W. Bro. Frank Tame assumed the duties of Lodge Secretary.

A regular and popular visitor, W. Bro. Albert Meadows, died. A donation was made to charity in his memory.
W. Bro. Arthur Ellis was elected as Treasurer, following the resignation of W. Bro. George Langdon from this office.

1971 Continuing inflation called for an increase in the Initiation fee to £40.

1972 W. Bro. Eric Hall found that travelling difficulties and personal commitments precluded regular attendance and he resigned from the office of Chaplain. Many tributes were paid to his past service. W. Bro. Gus Harvey was appointed Chaplain.

1973 The Bagshaw Lodge (No. 1457), mother Lodge of Undine, celebrated its centenary year.
Bro. Ash died, leaving a generous legacy to Lodge funds.
